Challenge Yourself in the pool! Swim 100 miles in 2015 and receive a prize.

YMCA Lifeguarding Class
This course includes CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Oxygen Administration, First Aid, and Lifeguard Training. Certification is issued upon successful completion of the course.
Minimum age of 16 by the last day of the scheduled course. Under 18 must have parental consent to participate.
Tread Water for 2 minutes, legs only
Swim 100 yards front crawl
Swim 50 yards each of:
Breaststroke with the head up
Elementary Backstroke Kick with hands on the chest
Perform a feet-first surface dive in 8-10 feet of water and swim underwater 15 feet.
Start in water at shallow end, sprint 60 feet, perform arm-over-arm surface dive in 8-10 feet of water, pick up object, surface, tread water for at least 1 minute with legs only, replace object back on bottom of pool. Swim remaining length to end of pool and hoist yourself out of the water.
Begin compressions on an adult manikin for 1 minutes or 100 compressions.
Stand and listen to directions from the instructor.
Quickly walk to elevated chair, climb into chair, sit down, follow the instructor’s directions while scanning pool.

Masters Swim Team (18 years and over)
The Masters swim program is a team for all ages and skill levels focusing on traditional pool workouts and practices. The workouts are customizable for each swimmer’s goals and level of skill.
Monday 5:30-6:30 am
Member: $25/month Non member: $32/month
Aqua Group Exercise
Non member: Purchase an 8-class punch passport for $56
This is an aerobic workout without traumatic impact to the joints. Results include increased muscular tone, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming experience required.
Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday 10:00-11:00 am
Tuesday/ Thursday: 9:00-10:00 am, 5:30-6:30 pm
Saturday – 8:00-8:45 am
This class will be a head to toe workout combining strength and cardio. This class is great for those who want the high intensity workout without the impact on the joints and who may not be comfortable in the deep water.
Monday/ Wednesday – 6:30-7:30 pm
This class is a challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and exhilarating.
Monday/ Wednesday: 9:00-9:45 am
Monday: 5:00-5:45 pm
Deep Water Workout
A great workout with water floatation belts. If you want a higher-intensity water workout with no impact on your joints, this is what you’ve been looking for. You must be comfortable in deep water.

Private Swim Lessons
Private swim lessons allow swimmers to enhance their skills by meeting individually with a swim instructor. This 30 minutes one-on-one session allows swimmers to have individualized attention to learn to swim or to improve stroke technique.

Adult Swim Lessons
You will continue to improve your strokes or learn the basics of swimming. Adults are given the opportunity to learn or improve their swimming skills.
